Educators, as well as parents, know that preschoolers need a lot of modeling to browse social or emotional, cognitive, and rough and fine motor skills. Over the past decade, many experts in the field of education have completely emphasized the significance of game-based courses and their important role in simply developing children’s imagination as well as social skills.
An outline of the proper research rationale will be presented in this paper along with the clear representation of the research question as well as the sub-question. Finally, a brief summary of the paper would be provided in the concluding section.
The rationale of this action research plan is to find out the parental involvement in early education and literacy skills. Early reading experience with the parents prepares children for the benefits of formal literacy education. In fact, parents’ involvement in children’s reading has been simply found to be the most significant determinant of language and emerging literacy (Morgan et al., 2009). In addition, parents who simply introduce their children to their children can give them a head start at school and have an edge over their peers all through primary school. Compared with other family background variables (for example social class, family size, as well as parental education), parents’ participation in children’s literacy is a more powerful force, and reading pleasure is more important for children’s educational success than family socioeconomic status. Research also analyzes that sooner parents are involved in a child’s literacy practice, the deeper the results and the more lasting the impact. In addition, reading is the most responsive to parental influences in all school subjects. Reading success, in turn, is the gateway to complete success in other academic fields (Ntim, 2015).
Second, this study will help potential candidates understand the benefits of parental involvement, which goes beyond the dominion of literacy moreover educational achievement. Studies show that children with parental participation show greater social as well as emotional development, including greater ability to adapt to stress, higher life satisfaction, and greater self-directedness moreover self-control, and greater social adaptability Stronger, better mental health, stronger supportive relationships, stronger social skills, more active peer relationships, greater tolerance, and fewer bad behaviors (Menon, 2013). Therefore, it is important that parents and carers must realize that by providing an inspiring environment around the language, writing and reading, and supporting school’s literacy schedule at home, they can make a significant contribution to their child’s learning as primary and secondary education (Morgan et al., 2009).
