Therefore, the aim of this research work is to conduct a comprehensive survey on the blockchain technology in cybersecurity space. In particular, this research will focus on the blockchain taxonomy, introduces typical blockchain consensus algorithms, reviews blockchain applications and discusses technical challenges as well as recent advances in tackling the challenges in cybersecurity. Moreover, it will also point out the future directions in the blockchain technology in cybersecurity.
